The Harding Township/Green Village Bridle Path Association, has been busy over the past few months improving trails. We want to thank the landowners that allow us to use the network of trails throughout Harding Township and Green Village.

For those of you not familiar with horses, we would like to remind you as you drive throughout town and see us on these beautiful animals, please do not honk your horns or speed close by a horse and rider! We would like to avoid accidents caused by a startled animal.

Also, you may not be aware, but according to state law, horses and riders have the right of way in New Jersey. If you see a horse crossing a road, please stop and let them pass. If you pass a horse and rider walking along the edge of a road, please go by slowly. The horses are beautiful to look at as you drive by--so enjoy!

Again, we would appreciate knowing about any plans to construct deer fencing on your property. We would like to work with you so that we can still maneuver the trails!

If anyone has questions or wants additional information about the Harding Township/Green Village Bridle Path Association, please feel free to call Linda Halsey on 973-425-2299. If it is a Trail Maintenance issue, please contact Sandy Olson at 973-539-1859 or Linda Halsey. We can also be contacted at P.O. Box 710, New Vernon, NJ 07976-0710.

Once the weather starts to thaw, you will see an increase of riders on the weekends. Please tell your friends and visitors to watch out for us.

Thank you for your continued support!
