September 23 - 24, 2006 Morris County Mounted Park Police are planning a two-day (Mounted Police) competition the weekend of Sept. 23-24 at Seaton Hackney Stables in Morris Township. They need volunteers and help raising funds ($10,000-$15,000). If you and/or your club would like to volunteer or make a donation, contact Sgt. Mike Puccetti  either by email mpuccetti@morrisparks.net or calling Mike's cell phone  973-725-4036.

 

JUNE 12, 2006  Dressage Clinic hosted by Heather Gillette to sharpen your dressage test skills and help prepare for the Dressage Show on June 24. This clinic is free to Harding Township Bridle Path  Members, but it does require pre-registration.

Family Fun Shows:

Every summer, the Harding Township/Green Village Bridle Path Association hosts a Family Fun Show at the Horse Show Grounds on Sand Spring Lane, New Vernon, NJ. The show is geared to fun for all ages, horses and disciplines. Western, English and Gaited Horses are all welcome. There are grooming and showmanship in hand and longe line classes, under saddle equitation classes, trail and a costume class (lead line permitted). Show attire not required.

Safety gear, such as hard soled shoes with 1/2 inch heel and an SEI/ASTM approved helmet is required.

Classes are $10 each. In the afternoon, we hold Games such as Egg & Spoon, Musical Sacks, Ride-a-Buck Sweepstakes, etc.) at $7/game.

Directions: Rte. 287 to Harter Road, Exit 33, Harter Road to light; right on James Street, right on Sand Spring Lane.

This is great show for anyone wanting to just have a nice, low stress, safe fun first
show experience. Riders of all ages welcome. Registration the day of the show:

Trail Maintenance

Trail Maintenance schedule TBA

Most Trail Maintenance is performed by members. Professionals are contracted for large projects such as major tree removal and bridge repair on trail easements. Many homeowners maintain the trails that pass through their properties. If you have a trail on your land that requires maintenance or wish to reopen an old trail on your property, please contact us the President of the Association:
